Romans Chapter 1 - Rewritten

Identification and Authority

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, who was called to be an Apostle and being separated to the Good News of God, which He had made known through the Prophets in the Holy Scriptures concerning His Son. Who after the manner of the flesh, Jesus Christ our Lord, came through the bloodline of David, (The King of Israel), and was marked as the Son of God in all power, through the Spirit of Sanctification by rising from the dead. Through Jesus, we received Grace and Apostleship for the obedience of Faith from out of all of the people through His name, and from among the people, you are also called to Jesus Christ.

Greeting

To everyone in Rome, dearly loved by God, and called to be consecrated, Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. First, I do thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you because your Faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. The God that I serve, in the Good News of His Son, is my witness that I always mention you in my prayers, begging that I will have a prosperous journey, by the Will of God to come and visit you. I yearn to visit with you so that I can give to you a Spiritual gift and through it that you will be established. The gift is that I might be comforted with you in the Faith that we share.

Purpose of the Letter

I do not want you to be unaware my Brothers that I intended to come and visit you many times before but I was stopped until now so that I could have some increase among you even as I did while I was with other people. I am in debt to the Greeks, foreigners, the wise, and the thoughtless. Therefore, with everything that is in me, I am ready to tell you that are in Rome, the Good News.

Because I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God, that leads to Salvation for everyone that believes it, to the Jew first and then to the Greek. Because in the Good News the Righteousness of God is revealed from Faith to Faith, according to what has been written, “And the Righteous shall live by Faith.”

Accountability of the Religious Men

The wrath of God is revealed from Heaven for all impiety and unrighteousness of men, which withhold the truth in unrighteousness. Because that which was to be known of God was shown to them because He showed it to them and because the things that were unseen of Him from the creation of the world by the men that were made were understood, and they are plainly clear, including His eternal power and Godhead which leaves them without excuses. Because they had known God but they did not glorify Him as God, neither did they give thanks, but they were vain in their minds and their unintelligent hearts were darkened.

They professed themselves wise, but they were made into fools when they changed the perfect image of God into corruptible images of men including the worship of images of birds, of four-legged creatures, and of reptiles. Therefore, God gave them up to do the desires of their hearts and to dishonor their bodies among themselves, and they changed the truth of God into lies, and they honored and served the creature instead of the Creator, who is Blessed to the ages, Amen.

Men are Given up by God to do Wickedness, but there are Consequences

Because of this God gave them up to dishonorable affections. Because even their females did change the natural use into something that is against nature, and in the same way, the men left the natural use of the women and burned in lust towards each other, men together with men working shame and receiving a just payment to themselves for their error.

Attributes of Wickedness

Moreover, because they did not approve of having God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a wicked mind to do the things, which are not acceptable. They have been filled with all manner of unrighteousness including whoredom, covetousness, and malice, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and evil dispositions.

They are whisperers, evil-speakers, God-haters, insulting, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, unintelligent, faithless, without natural affection, and unmerciful. Moreover, these men knowing that the righteous judgment of God requires that those practicing such things are worthy of death, still do them and take pleasure in others that do the same.
